Please these materials by first day of class:
- 18 x 24" drawing pad. Heavy weight with good tooth: Seth Cole Velum 60#, 40 sheets; Borden Reilly, 90# vellum; or Strathmore 400 series

Vine charcoal, willow sticks – thin, soft. One box., min 10 sticks

Small, soft, smooth chamois cloth – note, buy this at an auto parts store - it's much cheaper than at art store!
You need the following materials for class, but you may wait until after the first day to discuss:
- Sketchbook: 8 1/2 x 11", hardbound

Pony, bulldog or binder clips wide enough for pads above

Blue masking tape

Pencils, 2 each: 2H, #2 and 4B (or Ebony)

Charcoal pencil (General's 2B med or 4B soft)

Large gum eraser (brown)

Kneaded eraser (grey)

Box cutter, w/ breakoff blades, or a small pencil sharpener or sandpaper

Spray fixative, odorless, or Aquanet hair spray

Ruler (stiff, extra points for transparent), a long thin skewer or a chop stick!

Tackle or other utility box to carry above supplies in

Cheap portfolio (for carrying above pads & supplies)
