Gretchen Leggitt
Gretchen Leggitt's mission as an instructor is to establish a classroom that facilitates imagination and creative exploration, as well as promoting the utmost encouragement of every student's artistic individuality. She places a great emphasis on art history and analytical discussions, allowing students to recognize the universal roots of art and begin to understand the transcendence of their artistic intentions.

Leggitt earned her BA in art education, a BFA in painting and a minor in art education from Colorado State University. She has also studied painting and art history at the Santa Chiara Art School in Tuscany, Italy. She is an avid painter and illustrator, and has taught art at many nonprofit organizations in Colorado and Washington. She is a current instructor at Gage Academy of Art and an elementary art teacher at the Open Window School in Bellevue.
