Untitled #1 With Tatiana Garmendia

Gage Academy is welcoming submissions from students and instructors to be considered for inclusion in an upcoming group exhibition.  This show, yet to be titled, will be curated and displayed in conjunction with a solo exhibition held in the Steele Gallery by Seattle based artist Tatiana Garmendia. Her series, “Migrations”, explores the archetype of the Hanged Man, personal recollections and experiences of migration through the engagement of historic and personal figurative narratives. Gage is looking for artwork of any medium and size that explores ideas of dualism, integrations of Jungian/Freudian interpretations of the shadow, and forges a union of opposites; something aesthetically unique, but conceptually complimentary.

Please email .jpeg submissions to john@gageacademy.org no later than 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified by Monday, July 31. Selected artwork must be delivered to John Freeman, Gage’s Event and Exhibition Manager, by August 25, 2017.
