GAGE EVENTS
  Online Registration Launches Today

Gage Academy of Art is excited to announce that starting today, you can register for Gage classes and workshops online! Browse the Fall Quarter class and workshop listings and add to your registration, then checkout using a credit card and get an instant confirmation.

Keep in mind, though, that if you would like to pay in two installments, use a discount, or are a monitor, atelier or scholarship student, you will need to call the office to register. Otherwise, happy registering!
 
  The Drawing Jam is Back at Bumbershoot
Saturday, September 5 - Monday, September 7



This summer Gage Academy of Art returns to Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival! Gage recreates its flagship event, the Drawing Jam, at Bumbershoot, bringing free art supplies, live models, live music, giveaways, an exhibition and photo archiving all to the Seattle Center this Labor Day weekend. Come to the Drawing Jam for FREE on Friday, September 4, from noon to 7:00pm.

Join Gage Directors Gary Faigin and Pamela Belyea for three art-packed days in New York this October. Join Gage Artistic Director Gary Faigin for three art-packed days in New York. Highlights include a Kandinsky retrospective at the Guggenheim, O'Keeffe at the Whitney, Bauhaus at MoMA, French drawings at the Frick and Vermeer at the Met. Make this your perfect October art getaway!

Explore the third dimension in clay. Stretch your imagination and develop skills in proportion and gesture. Learn to build simple armature working from your imagination, source material and the live figure model.

After five weeks of study in Gage Academy's Teen Intensive art program with instructors Tenaya Sims and Kimberly Trowbridge, these dedicated teens show off their expanded skills in composition, color relationships, classical drawing and contemporary painting.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
  Calling all Gage Summer Workshop Students

Any artist enrolled in a Gage Summer Workshop is invited to participate in Summer Showdown, August 28 - October 2. This exhibition showcases the wide variety of works created during our summer workshops. Inspired by new techniques taught by local and national instructors, show off your drawings, paintings, watercolors, sculptures and more. The piece you submit doesn not have to be created during the workshop, but should reflect the skills learned over the summer at Gage.

Turn in Date: Sunday, August 24 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on the 3rd Floor.
