The Studio Arts Intensive at Gage is designed to help you jump-start your career as an artist!

Whether you’re thinking about applying to art school or an atelier program, or you’re ready to make your mark in the Northwest art community, the seven-month part-time SAI program helps you develop a contemporary, marketable portfolio to help you take your career to the next level.

SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE for the 2016-17 academic year – Click to view and complete the 2016-17 SAI Application.

Classes are intimate (with a maximum of 18 students), and focus on foundation skills with the opportunity to develop individual projects for a culminating exhibition. The majority of the learning takes place in the studio through the personalized guidance of the teaching artists.

Discover the benefits of learning from a team of Gage teaching artists, and explore creativity in a variety of mediums and disciplines as you develop foundation skills in drawing, painting, sculpting and new/digital media.

PLUS, explore the region’s top artistic destinations, enjoy exclusive tours of artist studios, get behind the scenes at local museums and galleries and discover a community of creative professionals all working to help you be the artist you’ve always wanted to be.

For more information, email program director Olivia Beaufait, or call 206.323.4243, x18. Classes begin in fall, 2016.
