Our name, Gage, means “a challenge, a promise or a pledge.” Gage perfectly defines our primary goal—to challenge artists and to promise excellence. It is through the gifts of generous individuals inspired by the Academy’s mission, passion, educational excellence and community-building activities that we are able to do so; caring individuals who recognize Gage Academy as an essential part of the Northwest’s cultural infrastructure. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference to the potential for the Academy to teach, inspire and sustain the personal growth of every artist who has chosen to study at Gage.
