Illustration Essentials w/Edie Everette

Edie Everette received a MFA from Vermont College before switching to illustration and cartooning. Her cartoons are published weekly in Seven Days: Vermont’s Independent Voice newspaper and regularly in Art Access. She has also been a contributor to Hyperallergic, Pyragraph, Third Act, 34th Parallel, and Section8 magazines as well as The Seattle Times. In 2014 she was commissioned by King County and 4Culture to create HazMatters, a comic book that explores household hazardous waste and personal responsibility.

- 14 x 17″ (minimum size) drawing pad, 30-60# paper weight (I like Bristol)
- Pad of color construction paper
- #2B drawing pencil
- Colored pencils (I like Hardtmuth brand)
- Ink/brush/water cups
- Pencil sharpener
- Kneaded eraser
- 12″ strait edge
- Scissors
- Laptop (if you prefer to work digitally)
- Ruler, 12” is fine
- White glue or glue stick
- Various artist pencils
