Begin your journey with a welcome reception followed by a guided tour of the spectacular redesigned San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, featuring a rooftop sculpture garden and exhibitions by Luis Stettner, Johannes Brus, Wayne Thiebaud and more.

Highlights include: Experience a guided tour of the de Young Museum and get lost in Monet’s garden with special exhibition Monet: The Late Years; view prestigious private art collections and private garden tours; explore the Legion of Honor Museum of Fine Arts’ expansive collection with a curator-led tour; revel in San Francisco’s innovative landscape architecture and incredible site-specific art installations as well as its cutting-edge South of Market (SoMA) art galleries; receive special viewing access to the Diego Rivera mural inside the historic Stock Exchange Tower preceding a private wine reception and tour of the Haines Gallery; immerse yourself in art at the Minnesota Street Project in the historic Dogpatch district, housing 10 art galleries and 30 artist studios;  and enjoy fabulous meals together. Drawing & Painting workshop in Florence w/Dominique Medici

Join Dominique Medici and Carol Hendricks for this unparalleled opportunity to study the masterpieces of the Renaissance while refining your drawing and painting skills.

During this two-week Florence intensive, Dominique will teach drawing and painting techniques for depicting these magnificent masterpieces. While Carol, your Italian art history expert, will introduce you to some of Europe’s greatest masterpieces installed in the city’s beautiful churches and museums.

Students will paint in the studio learning the painting and drawing techniques of the Florentine Masters. Medici will demonstrate how to make and use traditional materials like traditional gesso panels, silverpoint, toned paper, egg tempera paint, oil paint and learn the process of gilding with gold leaf.

The evenings offer an opportunity for exploring of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. While weekends offer a chance to travel within Italy. All levels welcome!
