Code of Conduct
The Gage Academy of Art facility is private property and is open to enrolled students, their families and professional members of our community (instructors, models, staff, etc.)
Gage equipment may only be used by current Gage students and instructors.
Artists and the general public are invited to Gage lectures, seminars, Open Studios, Teen Art Studios and other public events as guests of the school.
Members of the Gage community and the general public are requested to abide by the following
Code of Conduct in order to ensure that Gage is a comfortable, safe and secure place to engage in one's artistic pursuits.
The following activities are prohibited at Gage:
- Smoking and illegal drug use
- Consuming alcohol (except at Gage public events)
- Using toxic materials anywhere in the building (see solvent and medium rules
in each studio) - Bringing in animals other than service dogs
- Engaging in disruptive or unsafe behavior that disturbs others
- Damaging Gage equipment or property, including graffiti
- Threatening others physically or engaging in verbal harassment
- Acting unreasonably and interfering with others’ use of the facility
- Loitering
Anyone not complying with the Gage Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the Gage premises and may be barred from all future access to Gage facilities and Gage programs.
