The Atelier (French for artist’s studio) programs at Gage Academy offer an apprenticeship model that prepares you for a career as a professional artist. As an Atelier student, you study full-time with a master artist, attending six hours a day, five days a week, working individually at your private easel and in a teaching environment. You engage in progressive artistic study to master the techniques of traditional academic training as you develop your own personal vision and voice.
Atelier students also receive free passes to all Drop-In Figure Studios as well as evening lecture series and have borrowing priveleges in the Academy’s Belyea Library.
To set up a visit to meet with one of the Atelier instructors during the academic year, please e-mail the Gage School Manager,
Carol Hendricks.
Please call 206.323.GAGE or 800.880.3898, or e-mail
