in Bellevue, for an enlightening discussion of the contemporary art scene in the Puget Sound region, as well as artists they work with and their perspective on the gallery-artist relationship. Learn how to initiate conversations and develop relationships with galleries, how to prepare for a studio visit, what kind of mutual expectations you can look forward to, and what it takes to ensure a longlasting and successful partnership.
Erik Hall and Amy Spassov
(pictured) are a likely pair. Both are Northwest natives. Both have established careers as artists. And both are owners of Hall Spassov Gallery in Bellevue, Washington, which they opened in 2006. The gallery has a focus on emerging and mid-career artists who are dedicated to their craft and have shown a capacity for cohesive bodies of work.
