The 2017 Gage Collector’s Gala

Dear Friends of Gage,

What a memorable night! I’m still in awe of the love showered upon Gage last night at the Collector’s Gala presented by Laird Norton Wealth Management. Thank you for coming to the event with such energy and drive, for bringing your best friends and for engaging with new ones who, like you, share the same passion for our institution. Above all, thank you for showing us, with your generosity, how deeply important Gage is to you. Last night’s success allows Gage to continue to provide each and every student the opportunity to do their best and to be their best. Your support makes it possible for Gage to make a difference in a student’s life—today and tomorrow.

Because of your magnanimity, Gage raised $290,000! These funds will go directly to support our adult and youth programs — from Ateliers to classes, from Studio Arts Intensive to the Teen Art Studio, scholarships, reduced tuitions and free events always open to the public. Your support makes it possible for us to share Gage with a growing community, and provide service to those for whom the arts are not accessible or affordable.

In the coming weeks, you will receive my formal thank you and tax letter, detailing your individual contributions. For now let’s bask in the glow of our success. Thank you!

Finally, my heartfelt appreciation goes to our event co-chairs, Pamela Taylor and Phoebe Brockman, the Gage Board of Trustees and the table hosts for their vision and for sharing the mission of our institution with such a dedicated group of friends. I am always humbled by the dedication of the artists who donate their finest work, and by the staff and the army of 100+ volunteers, who wholeheartedly and unremittingly give their energy, their time, and their talent in making the event a memorable one!

One more thing: Save the Date! Next year’s Gage Collector’s Gala will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018!
