Comics Challenge
with Jonathan Tune
Saturdays | Feb 27 – Mar 27 | 9:30am-12:30pm
Have you ever heard of The 24 hour comic challenge? It has a simple premise: draw a 24 page comic in 24 hours. We’ll only have 15 hours, including stretch breaks, so let’s make 12 pages of comics!
Each class will teach skills to build that final 12 page product. Students will learn to create characters, draw environments, and combine the two in dynamic compositions. We will sketch out the story from script, to thumbnail, to final pencils, then ink it! Don’t have an idea for a story? No worries–we’ll have a class on that too!
15 hours. 12 pages. It won’t be easy, but those who complete the challenge will receive a special top-secret reward.*
*The ability to make more comics.
